Oreo truffle recipe

Hello! Today I am showing you a recipe for an oreo truffle!🍪 I made these in a cooking class I took about two or three years ago and they were SO GOOD!! Here is the recipe:

  • 1 pack of Oreos ( 16 oz. )
  • 1 package of cream cheese ( 8 oz. )
  • 2 ( 8 oz. ) packages of semisweet chocolate chips

Crush 9 oreos in a food processor and set that aside. Crush the remaining oreos and put them in a bowl. Add the cream cheese and mix until well combined. Roll your mixture into balls ( this makes about 42 ). Melt your chocolate for about 2 minutes or more. Dip your oreo balls in to them and sprinkle your oreo crumbs from earlier on top. Put them in the fridge for 1 hour. Enjoy!!

Quotes from inspiring women

Hi! In school we are writing our research papers on historical people and I chose Nellie Bly as mine. It has been really fun and I have learned a TON of stuff about her. Here are some quotes from other inspiring women!

" I said I could and I would... and I did. " - Nellie Bly

" The only tired I was, was tired of giving in. " - Rosa Parks

" The patriot blood of my father was warm in my veins " - Clara Barton

" How very little can be done under the spirit of fear " - Florence Nightingale

" The most effective way to do it, is to do it " - Amelia Earheart

Claw Machine Tips and Tricks

I have one something from a claw machine about 3 times. The first time, I won something from a pizza place. The second, I got a ball from a play until you win ( it took like, 20 tries ) and the most recent was 1 or 2 years ago when a got a big fat blue cat ( it is cuter than it sounds ).  These are some tips that may help you win more often!

Before you press the button to drop the claw, check the sides. The front is mirrored and not accurate and the side is more accurate.

Before you play, try to watch someone else play so you know how much time you have on the machine.

If you have 15 to 20 seconds ( like most machines ) use 10 seconds moving the claw, and 5 seconds checking the sides and if you have 20 seconds use 10 seconds moving, and 10 seconds checking.

I hope you liked these tips and tricks! Bye!

My perfect day(s)

So, sorry I have not posted for a while I was completely O-U-T of ideas but here is a blog post about what my perfect day would be like!!

I wake up in the morning and find out there is NO SCHOOL THE WHOLE WEEK!! Which means no homework!❤❤ I then get a surprise that I am going to Great Wolf Lodge! I pack up and am on my way and surprisingly, get there in 5 minutes. My 2 BFFS are there ( Addy and Mia ) and we stay at the water park for 3 hours 34 minutes and 28 seconds. We then get dinner and watch a movie in our huge hotel room. The next day we go to the spa and get mani pedis and ice cream🍦🍦🍦. We then play at the water park for 1 hour 23 minutes and 41 seconds. We get dinner and go to bed. The next day we play at the water park for 3 hours 49 minutes and 12 seconds. We go to my house and rest while watching a movie on my couch while eating popcorn. We all go back to our houses and I take a LONG and needed nap.

I hope you enjoyed reading about my perfect days!! Bye Bye!! Happy national toast day! Yes it's real.

I found something!

I have been thinking about this for a few days now and I tested it and it works. I FOUND A NEW RECIPE FOR OOBLECK!!!! I thought I had made it up but, apparently a few other people have already thought of it. It IS hard to come up with something that is not already on the internet.  I still have not come up with exact measurements of how much you need but it is baby powder and water. Apparently, baby powder can work as a substitute for corn starch. Well, that's all I wanted to say. Bye!

Life hacks!!

I have done 3 life hack posts at the least but I LOVE THEM!!

  • Use an old pen spring to keep your phone charger from breaking
  • Use binder clips to organize cables
  • At a restaurant, unroll the ketchup holders to increase capacity
  • Put a small knot at the top of one of your earbuds so you know which is left and which is right

New Look ( for real )

Yep this is Life According to Johanna's new look!!! I really like that it is see through and you can still see the text and the title.  It took me about an hour to do this but I had a good one but it didn't show that I had the AWESOME followers gadget. Mia, I can help you get it but I don't think the dynamic views template works with it. And something special is going to be happening in 29 days!!! I was going to say but my BFF and I want to keep it a secret. Wait Mia, how did you know?!?!?! Oh but I will tell you I will be doing another airport post sometime soon. Well if March counts as soon. Anyway, I am SO excited for Valentine's day! Although it is not exactly the best holiday ever and I really really want the ice cream we are going to have at school... Is that maybe the only reason I am excited? Nah... Is it??

2 Myths about the Super Bowl

Hi! Today is the super bowl which honestly, I don't get very excited about it. I am not the most normal person because I have no idea how to play football and never watch it.  And that is why, my friends, I watched this video⇓
Anyhoo, here are some myths about the super bowl

  • People will wait until halftime to go to the bathroom and sewers get clogged ( DISGUSTING ) I am SO glad it is not true
  • Super bowl fans will eat 14 billion burgers during the game ( not me I don't like burgers )

Unlike most people I will not be screaming happiness when the Patriots win I will be smiling happily that my favorite team won. Wow, I need to watch more football! But I won't bandwagon unlike some people.... BYE!!

What Essential Oils are Good For

My Mom really, I mean REALLY likes essential oils. From On Guard ( putting it on your feet ) to coconut oil ( why do we put that in sandwiches???? ) . I asked her what some were good for and here is what I came up with.

Melaleuca: melaleuca is an oil with a VERY strong smell but it smells kinda nice. You can use it to cure chickenpox, acne, it removes foot odor, it works as insect repellent and removes mold. There are much more uses but these are only a few. But a warning DO NOT put it in your mouth or swallow it. It is very bad for you and can make you VERY sick.

Lavender:  Lavender is one of the most commonly used oils. You can use it for A TON of things including, relaxation, bee stings and bug bites, a burn, dry skin, dandruff, cold sores and, you can even add it to brownies and cookies!

Vanilla: Vanilla has some similar uses as lavender but I think it smells WAY better. It has uses such as... preventing growth of cancer cells, lowers blood pressure, it is relaxing, it soothes burns, you can add it to ice cream ( my favorite use ), you can use it in perfume and much more.

I hope you liked this post! It took a very long time to make and it was really fun. Bye!

How to clean your glasses

Hi!! I got fake glasses recently and sadly, I got MANY mean comments on them and today I was wondering how to clean them! And I know 2 of my 3 followers have glasses and here are some ways to clean them.

Method 1: Rinse glasses under a gentle stream of water.  Now, apply a drop of dish soap to each lens. Gently rub them. Now, rinse the lenses and frame. Shake the glasses gently to get most of the water out. Ta da clean glasses!!!

Method 2:  Fill a sink with lukewarm water and dish soap. Now, dunk your glasses in the water and gently swish them around. Now take them out and rinse them. Shake them out and there clean!!

I hope these were helpful!!! Bye!
